A Spiritual View of Autism

Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is increasing in incidence every year. What is the spiritual significance of this and how can it be treated? Dr. Williams will discuss the experiences of different clinicians and therapists who care for ASD throughout the country, both in traditional and Anthroposophical clinics.

The latest research concerning factors that contribute to this illness will be discussed. Dr. Williams recently gave a workshop at the Goetheanum entitled “Cranial Osteopathy in the Light of Spiritual Science;” he will talk about this therapy in treating children with ASD.

Admission: $20.

Dr. Basil Williams is an Osteopathic Physician, board-certified in Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, and Anthroposophic Medicine. He has practiced medicine for 42 years. He was for many years Assistant Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University’s School of Medicine, where he performed original research in the field of virology, practiced Internal Medicine/ Infectious Diseases, and taught medical students. Having been raised on a farm, Dr. Williams also had an early interest in biodynamic agriculture. The combination of these two fields led him to an interest in producing healing substances for the land, honoring the Elemental Beings and celebrating the festivals of the year.
