Gerard Wagner

A slide presentation and talk by Gail McManus at the Los Angeles Branch

February 12, Sunday, 2:00 - 3:30 p.m.

For 70 years the painter Gerard Wagner explored the world of color. Always taking the sketch motifs of Rudolf Steiner as the essential points of reference, he created watercolor paintings which depict an objective experience of how form can arise consistently out of the relationship of one color to another. In this manner, Gerard Wagner arrived at themes as diverse as the plant, animal and elemental worlds, the human soul realm, and the spiritual life of festivals.

Gail McManus studied in the painting school of Gerard Wagner at the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland. She looks forward to sharing breathtaking slides of his paintings accompanied by a description of the painter’s life and work.

No admission charge. Donations are very welcome.
