Spring is on its way, and we look forward to an exciting concert by cellist Claude Gilbert with pianist Marcus Macauley! The program will include Bach’s Suite No. 3 in C Major for unaccompanied cello, and selections from Sir Edward Elgar's Cello Concerto in E Major, op. 85.

Currently pursuing his undergraduate degree at SUNY Purchase, Claude Gilbert began his cello studies in 3rd grade at Green Meadow Waldorf School. Seattle-born Marcus Macauley won his first concerto competition at age 11, performing with numerous orchestras and winning six national composition awards before entering college at the Eastman School of Music. Since 2009 he has been a resident musician for Eurythmy Spring Valley and has toured with eurythmists in Europe, Asia and the United States.
