Los Angeles Branch 110 Martin Alley Pasadena, CA 91105

In his lecture, The St. John’s Imagination, Rudolf Steiner stated that “in summer, human beings are closely enmeshed in nature but, if they have the right feeling and perception for it, objective spirituality comes toward them from nature’s interweaving life.”

We will frame our St. John’s gathering with interweaving voices singing rounds, led by Joan Newton. Within that frame we will read a St. John’s address that Karl König (founder of the Camphill Movement, medical doctor, author, and lecturer) gave the Camphill community in Aberdeen-shire, Scotland, on July 7, 1965. His words convey an inspired deepening of the significance of St. John’s tide in the present age. His address is included in The Mystery of St. John and the Cycles of the Year (pp. 89-98), published by Camphill Books (2000). Copies of the address will be available at the meeting
