The Importance of Warmth and Rhythm

Location: Baltimore, MDA home healthcare workshop with Jannebeth Roell, sponsored by The Raphael Branch and the Anthroposophical Society in America in conjunction with The Traveling Speakers Program
JANNEBETH ROELL co-founded and worked for more than fifteen years as a registered nurse at the Tobias Clinic in the Netherlands, an outpatient clinic where anthroposophical medical principals were applied. Since 1970 she has taught accredited home health courses based on anthroposophical ideals to doctors, nurses and lay people nationwide. Jannebeth cofounded the Anthroposophical Nurses Association of America, a nonprofit organization that supported certification courses in anthroposophical nursing for registered nurses and the public. After receiving her BFA in fine arts she gave art classes in clinics to a wide range of patients. In 2003 she moved to Portland, Oregon where she continues her art therapy from her own studio.

This hands-on workshop is designed for individuals, parents, teachers and health care providers having an interest in natural remedies and a spiritual approach to health and illness. Simple, natural approaches to recurring childhood problems will be discussed during the workshop, which also includes the following topics:
• The importance of warmth and fever
• Demonstration and practical applications of the lemon calf wrap
• Demonstrations of external therapies for ear infections, sinus problems, colds and coughs
• The importance of rhythm
• Demonstration and practical application of a chamomile abdominal compress
• Questions and Answers
• Please bring a bath towel, a pillow and a blanket
