Lead Kinder Teacher

Aloha!! Malamalama Waldorf school is seeking a lead early childhood teacher for our beloved Maile classroom. We are looking for individuals with an enthusiasm and commitment to Waldorf Education and joyful love for the young child. Desired applicants will have completed their Waldorf Early Childhood training, have teaching experience and an ability to work in a collaborative manner with colleagues and parents. Bachelors degree/12 ECE credits/CDA preferred. Our School Community We are a Candidate Member school with AWSNA; accredited with WECAN, HAIS, and WASC. Malamalama Waldorf School was founded in 1978 by a group of devoted parents and educators seeking a different educational experience for children in the Puna district of the Big Island. MWS is located in the residential subdivision of Hawaiian Paradise Park, nestled on a 20-acre parcel in a beautiful rainforest setting. In 1979 MWS was incorporated as an independent, non-profit educational and cultural organization in the State of Hawaii. The school is a well-respected member of the Big Island community with over 30 years dedicated to Waldorf Education preschool through 8th Grade. Our graduates regularly go on to hold top academic honors in high school, including graduating valedictorians and salutatorians. They are also leaders in athletic, artistic, and performing arts endeavors. Qualifications Malamalama Waldorf School is seeking trained, certified Waldorf teachers who also hold a Bachelor degree or higher. Previous Waldorf teaching experience is preferred. Live-In Volunteers

The Lukas Community is a residential community for developmentally challenged adults with a wide range of abilities and handicaps. Volunteers work within the households (personal care of the residents, meal preparation, housekeeping as needed, etc.) and also outside the home in such activities as therapeutic gardening, Eurythmy, weaving, music, fitness activities, painting and crafts. There are 16 residents, 10 staff members and 8 or 9 volunteers. Most of the volunteers come from outside of the US and stay for 11-12 months. Beautiful environment, 1 hour from Boston. Single Support Coworker

Single mature individual wanted to provide support to volunteers and houseparents daily and during vacations. Anthroposophical orientation ideal. Private studio apartment provided, room and board, monthly stipend, paid time off, health and dental, great company.
